GQ-AAS is experiencing substantial growth as a result of our client focus, ethical approach and quality of our professional services.  GQ-AAS is expanding our capability to support leading edge industry development such as the National Broadband Network (NBN) project.

 

GQ-AAS is now seeking exceptional telecommunications external plant engineers to fill new roles at senior consultant/principal consultant level. The location of these full time roles is flexible but ideally the roles would be located in Melbourne, Canberra and/or Sydney.

 

The successful candidates will work as part of a consulting team to provide high-level strategic business advice, technical consulting and leadership in the areas of.

 

  • Aerial and underground telecommunications cable plant planning, design, construction and operations
  • Fibre to the Home (FTTH) technologies, systems, network architectures and installation best practices
  • Use of shared infrastructure such as trenches, manholes, pits, ducts, cables and poles
  • Estimation and modeling of capital and operating costs
  • Valuation of external plant networks

 

The successful candidates are expected to have tertiary qualification(s) and a minimum of 10 to 15 years relevant telecommunications industry experience in the planning, design, construction and/or operation of telecommunications cable networks.

 

A key requirement of the positions is a business focus and the ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing technical information in a business context.
